A dead ringer?

After making a complaint about the iPhone ringer volume not being loud enough I was told by someone at Apple that it was a known limitation.

It seems that the speaker Apple decided to put into the iPhone just laptop batteries isnt capable of producing more volume than the current iPhone maximum without introducing distortion. So with people still complaining laptop battery about low volume levels it seems that a newer higher rated speaker will be introduced in the next iPhone.
